Kristen Hoagland is a dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, and teacher. She was born and raised in Hamilton, NJ. She began her training at Stewart Johnson Dance Academy under the direction of Isobel Johnson and Kim Johnson Spolitino. She immediately fell in love with dancing and the love has continued to grow. Heavily involved in the dance competition world growing up, after graduating high school she began teaching dance full time while attending Mercer County Community College. Kristen dreamed about wanting to share her love and passion of performing with others so she began to audition in NYC.

     Kristen has performed on "America's Got Talent", "The Rachel Ray Show", " The Next Big Thing NY", Joe Lanteri's "Bright Lights and Shining Stars" showcase in NYC, and at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City. She has danced in music videos for "Wonka Pop Star" and artist Rachel Lorin Flisoof. Kristen has also performed at the APAP Showcase at Peridance with Michael Susten & Company.

    She has had the pleasure of working directly with choreographers AC Ciulla, as his assistant on numerous projects, Spencer Liff, Luis Salgado, Jason Sparks, Ivan Koumaev, Mari Madrid, Larry Keigwan, Nicole Wolcott, David Gamboa, Jeffrey Lapes, Brooke Wendle, Jihan Amoroli Burger, and Michael Susten just to name a few. She has toured with the National Tour of West Side Story directed by David Saint, where she played the part of Mugsy, Swing, and u/s Anybodys. Kristen was the Assistant Choreographer to Jason Sparks for the new musical, “Propaganda! The Musical” featured in NYMF. She has performed at the Norma Terris Theater at the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut where she played the part of Young Jennie and Assistant choreographer in a new musical, “The Circus in Winter” directed by Joe Calarco and choreographed by Spencer Liff. Kristen also played the part of Helen in the most recent production of Bye, Bye, Birdie directed by Jenn Thompson and choreographed by Patti Wilcox at the Goodspeed Opera House.

      Kristen’s most recent adventure took her to Spain to fulfill her dream of becoming a certified Yoga teacher. She completed the Frog Lotus Yoga International training and is now recognized by the Yoga Alliance for YTT200 Hr Vinyasa Flow. She is beyond excited to begin teaching. Her main focus is Vinyasa Flow but truly enjoys the many different styles of yoga. Yoga is incorporated in to her everyday life and hopes she can help others reach their “yogi dreams” just like she was able to.

      Along with performing herself she also continues to teach dance. Kristen teaches ballet, lyrical, hiphop, musical theater, contemporary, and jazz. Her classes offer a safe environment for dancers to explore their own abilities as well as learn from others. She prides herself in keeping a positive attitude and pushing students harder than they thought possible. She also choreographs for two high school dance teams in NJ. Her students have been the recipients of numerous awards at regional and national competitions. Her choreography has also received special awards in every age division. Kristen truly loves sharing her passion with others!
